Dos Santos in 1950. It has a strong tradition of merging specialties to provide better care for patients. DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]\nCARDIOVASCULAR SURGERY GOES HYBRID – A RESPONSE TO NEW CHALLENGES\nThe European Society for Cardiovascular and Endovascular Surgery (ESCVS) is dedicated in providing educational opportunities to residents and young cardiac and vascular surgeons. This year’s ESCVS Winter School entitled CARDIOVASCULAR SURGERY GOES HYBRID – A RESPONSE TO NEW CHALLENGES will be held in beautiful city of Zabrze\, Poland\, from 16th to 19th February 2017. \nThe aim of the winter school is for participants to get acquainted with all aspects of modern hybrid cardiovascular surgical treatment.\n10 young surgeons (5 cardiac and 5 vascular) will be granted free accommodation and course fee. SUMMARY:65th Congress of the ESCVS
DESCRIPTION:Dear Colleagues\, Dear Friends and Guests\,\nWe are delighted to invite you to Belgrade and Serbia for the 65th Congress of the ESCVS. \nJust 40 years ago\, Belgrade was the host of the 25th annual congress of the ESCVS\, the oldest society in Europe in the cardiac and vascular surgical field. Belgrade is the capital of Serbia and one of the biggest cities in this part of Europe well known for its tradition\, cultural and social resources thus becoming increasingly popular touristic destination in the recent period. Charm\, night life and hospitality of inhabitants are usually outlined by foreign visitors.\nAs your hosts\, we will provide you with interesting scientific program enrichedwith educational workshops\, scientific lectures related to both clinical problems and scientific topics. Some of the most controversial themes will be presented through “pro et contra” sessions by some of the most experienced physicians from the field\, respecting new technologies and innovative therapies while not forgetting conventional open cardiac and vascular surgery. Besides educational workshops\, young surgeons will be able to compete for the “best young cardiac/vascular surgeon” prize based on their scientific work. In the name of the fruitful cooperation with other specialties\, different joint sessions will be organized. Collaborators in ACST 2 study will endow with interesting lectures and updates from the field of the treatment of asymptomatic carotid disease. Serbian Society for Heart Failure and Working group for pacemaker of the Serbian Society for Cardiology will present their most interesting controversies. Different social and cultural activities will be provided to all visitors of our meeting. \nThe congress venue will be located at the Crown Plaza hotel\, convenient for business and pleasure alike\, located in midst of the central business district just a short drive away from Old Town and shopping area. \nWe hope that you will find the 65th Congress of the ESCVS in Belgrade an unforgettable event.
